Faith 

I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and I want to live my life for Him. I repeated this belief statement just moments before my baptism at Cornerstone Church of Christ in Chatham, VA in the Spring of 2021. I had been a “believer” since the age of 12. It took living life with many goods and bads to finally understand what it meant to believe.

There are a few points to consider:

1.) We all are sinners.

• “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

2.) Judgement will come to all who sin.

• “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.” 2 Corinthians 5:10

3.) The actions of Jesus Christ save us from judgement.

• “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood…” Romans 3:25

4.) We can be saved through belief in Jesus Christ.

• “ Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”” John 14:6

• “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” Romans 3:22

Odds are, you have at least one. Ask them. Visit a church that believes and teaches that Jesus is the Christ. Don’t be discouraged. God loves you more than you know.
